Panorama Education (2)_CharlotteHosted by Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools and Panorama Education

What is a District Meetup?

Meetups are free, in-person convenings designed to connect school and district leaders across a specific region. During meetups, districts come together to share learnings, establish best practices, and build a supportive network of education leaders working towards a common goal of improving student outcomes.

"This was a great reminder that we are all facing the same dilemma in our schools and there is no clear answer to "fix" it. The journey is different for each of us so it is beneficial to hear from other districts what is and isn't working for them." - Dallas Meetup attendee

[District Spotlight] Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools’ SEL Journey: How to Support the Whole Child (and Shift Adult Mindset’s Along the Way)

CMS is on a continuous journey to ensure that equity and social-emotional learning are embedded in every system of support they provide their students. Join us for that journey!

Learn how CMS began understanding and measuring social-emotional learning (SEL), is currently listening to the voices of every student across their district, and continues to support their district and school leaders as they unpack educator’s mindsets along the way.

Plus, gain insight on how the district leveraged pre-existing systems and resources to provide the highest impact for their students long-term success.

“One of the biggest things I walked away with is being able to identify with other practitioners that are facing similar situations and learn from them. Learn stories, be vulnerable to other's ideas, successes, and failures. This really changed the way I think about what we’re going to be doing.” - Phoenix Meetup attendee
