Panorama and Val Verde

Webinar for ACSA Members hosted by Panorama Education

52 minutes

Val Verde Unified School District has made meaningful academic gains—including achieving a graduation rate of over 96%—by putting in place thoughtful structures to analyze and respond to academic data. Yet, some students in the district struggled to stay on track due to behavior issues, chronic absenteeism, and other social-emotional challenges.

To better meet the academic and social-emotional needs of their 20,000 students, Val Verde Unified is placing Positive Behavioral Intervention and Supports (PBIS) and Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) at the center of their student support work.

In this webinar, leaders from Val Verde Unified will share how measuring and responding to student perception data in critical areas such as school culture and climate, teacher-student relationships and connectedness, and social-emotional learning are improving teaching practice and outcomes for students in their district.

Please join administrators from Val Verde and leaders from the ACSA community as they discuss:

  • Using social-emotional learning measurement to inform PBIS and MTSS
  • Identifying and delivering appropriate Tier 1, Tier 2, and Tier 3 behavioral student supports
  • Reducing disproportionate discipline and increasing equity in schools
