What is an MTSS Meetup? MTSS Meetups are free, in-person convenings designed to connect school and district leaders across a specific region. During meetups, districts come together to share learnings, establish best practices, and build a supportive network of education leaders working towards a common goal of improving student outcomes.

"Thank you for a wonderful day! The shared energy and expertise on SEL and MTSS was phenomenal. My biggest takeaway is the perseverance to continue this work. Slow and steady wins the race!" - Chicago MTSS Meetup attendee

"This was a great reminder that we are all facing the same dilemma in our schools and there is no clear answer to "fix" it. The journey is different for each of us so it is beneficial to hear from other districts what is and isn't working for them." - Dallas MTSS Meetup attendee

Who should attend? District leaders tasked with intervention, prevention, and student well-being roles (e.g. student services/pupil services) working within the state/region of the event’s location. This includes:

  • Assistant Superintendent of Student Services
  • Assistant Superintendent of Curriculum and Instruction
  • Executive Director of Student Support Services
  • Director of Pupil Services
  • MTSS/PBIS/RTI Coordinator
  • SEL Coordinator
  • Director of Research and Accountability

Since MTSS is a team effort, many districts choose to attend with a group of around 3-5 people from their district.

Where is the meetup being held? Hamilton Southeastern Schools Administration Building, 13485 Cumberland Road, Fishers, IN 46038

When is the meetup? Tuesday, October 29th from 8:30am-3:15pm

“One of the biggest things I walked away with is being able to identify with other practitioners that are facing similar situations and learn from them. Learn stories, be vulnerable to other's ideas, successes, and failures. This really changed the way I think about what we’re going to be doing.” - Phoenix MTSS Meetup attendee
